COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus, is a highly contagious respiratory illness caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The virus was first identified in Wuhan, China in December 2019, and has since spread rapidly worldwide, causing a global pandemic. This virus is part of the coronavirus family, which includes viruses that can cause illness in both humans and animals.
How does it Spread?
The primary mode of transmission for COVID-19 is through respiratory droplets when an infected person talks, coughs, or sneezes. The virus can also be spread by touching a surface contaminated with the virus and then touching one’s mouth, nose, or eyes. The symptoms of COVID-19 range from mild to severe, and can include fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, and loss of smell or taste. Some people may not show any symptoms but can still transmit the virus to others.
To slow the spread of COVID-19, it is essential to take preventative measures such as wearing masks, practicing social distancing, frequently washing hands, and avoiding large gatherings. Vaccines have also been developed and are effective in preventing severe illness and hospitalization.
Effect on Our Lifestyle
The COVID-19 pandemic has had significant impacts on public health, the global economy, and daily life. It has led to significant changes in how people work, socialize, and travel. Governments around the world have implemented various measures to slow the spread of the virus, such as lockdowns, travel restrictions, and vaccine mandates.
Let’s get back to 2019 when the whole world started suffering from covid-19. Our government, at first didn’t bother it as it was considering this virus as “not a big deal”. But when the first case of covid-19 got detected on 1st March 2019, it created a lot of terror and hype at that time. But still many people in Pakistan didn’t adopt any kind of safety precautions to keep themselves safe from covid-19. The government started to lock down every possible thing to keep our public safe from this virus. I was also seeing this whole situation through my own eyes and those were the moments of great tension and nervousness.
The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly brought about many changes to our daily lives, including the closure of schools and colleges. While this can be a challenging time for many, there are still ways to find enjoyment during the pandemic.
During the pandemic, it’s important to take precautions to protect yourself and others from COVID-19. Here are some health precautions you can take:
Wear a mask:
Wearing a mask can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 by reducing the number of respiratory droplets you release into the air. Be sure to wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth when you’re in public or around others who don’t live in your household.
Practice social distancing:
Social distancing involves staying at least 6 feet away from others to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. Avoid large crowds and gatherings, and limit your contact with others whenever possible.
Wash your hands frequently:
Washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds can help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Be sure to wash your hands before and after eating, after using the bathroom, and after touching surfaces that other people may have touched.
Stay home if you’re sick:
If you’re feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, stay home and avoid contact with others. Call your healthcare provider for guidance on whether you need to get test for COVID-19 or seek medical care.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces:
COVID-19 can live on surfaces for several hours, so it’s important to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and countertops, regularly.
Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is one of the best ways to protect yourself and others from the virus. Check with your healthcare provider or local health department to find out where and when you can get vaccinated.
Remember, taking these health precautions can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect yourself and others. Be sure to stay up-to-date on the latest public health guidelines and recommendations in your area, as they may change over time.

Our Government takes some measurable steps and tries to save our people at the maximum level. the government implements a complete lock and all things look like jam and the world is near to end. During Corona complete lockdown was occur. This situation was very difficult for all the people Especially for those people who had not enough money to survive during Corona. This time cannot affect only those people who are government servants because all these people get a fixed salary from the government at their respective dates like my father. but difficult for those who were laborers.
During this dark period, our college was closed. One of the most significant challenges that students have faced during the pandemic is the sudden shift to online learning. For many students, the transition to online classes has been difficult, as it requires a different set of skills and tools to succeed online class is like an come to class for attendance. The pandemic has also made it difficult for some students to access essential resources like stable internet connections and proper study spaces. This has made it harder for them to keep up with their academic work and stay motivated.
In conclusion, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on students’ lives.
